The Self Contained Modern Prefab Home are on stilts that lift them a few feet off the ground, a Recycled Retreat, “to get them level and also get you up and away from snakes and thorns and varmints,” said Mark Wellen, the architect. The units, finished off site and set in place by cranes, retain their original exterior doors.
